DANOU P

Danou P is a refreshing blast from the past: a DJ, producer and musician whose blossoming career has been built on nothing more than a mixture of talent and hard work. The Rotterdam-based DJ/producer's trademark sound, explored both in his productions and DJ sets, explores his love of funky and soulful sounds, frequently drawing on a variety of interconnected styles including disco, boogie and deep house.

Danou is best-known as Jamie 3:26's regular studio partner, with the pair first establishing a global reputation via a string of remixes for labels including Glitterbox, Soul Clap Records and Big Love. Their first collaborative EP, What It Is, appeared in 2022 on Dan Shake's label and earned wholehearted support from Honey Dijon and the Blessed Madonna. Two more of their magical collaborative cuts also appeared on Jamie's first EP of 2023, Love Bomb You can expect more joint records in the months and years ahead, as well as a clutch of solo releases from Danou defining his uniquely personal take on warm, soul-fired, instrumentally expansive dance music.
